Rencontre avec les artisans de la COP21 épisode 9 Anne Sophie Novel et Place to B
La réduction des émissions de gaz à effet de serre n'est pas qu'une question scientifique et technologique : nous connaissons bien désormais le changement climatique, ses mécanismes et ses conséquences probables, reste à l'expliquer au public et à convaincre les citoyens d'agir... Les déclarations de fin de COP et les interminables rapports du GIEC ne sont certainement pas le meilleurs outil pour ça : il faut inventer une façon de raconter le changement climatique et de mobiliser.
Voilà en quelques mots l'état d'esprit qui a encouragé Anne-Sophie Novel, journaliste, auteur et blogueuse (notamment chez Ecolo-Info), à lancer Place to B. Elle nous explique de quoi il s'agit :
Place to B, c'est d'abord une auberge de jeunesse située près de la gare du Nord (donc à portée immédiate du Bourget où se tiendra la COP21 à proprement parler) et réquisitionnée pour héberger 600 participants venus du monde entier. Ce cera aussi un espace de coworking avec des conférences de presse, des points d'avancement sur les négociations, des spectacles, des projections... Et, enfin, un "News Fab Lab" (ou fabrique d'un récit différent) où activistes, auteurs et créateurs pourront se rencontrer pour chercher de nouvelles façons de parler des enjeux climatiques.
