Le guide de bonne conduite

Il existe un guide de bonne conduite du camping cariste ; il doit être connu et appliqué de façon à ce que notre mode de loisir soit toléré par tous ; ce guide est résumé par l'acronyme RESPECT

R	Respecter la nature Là, beaucoup de bon sens citoyen et écologique : quand on quitte un endroit, le laisser au moins aussi propre qu'on l'a trouvé ne pas vidanger les eaux grises et noires en dehors des endroits autorisés ne pas arracher de plantes, ou couper des fleurs en ville (si, si, j'en ai vu faire!)
E	Eviter le regroupement non organisé L'homme a l'instinct grégaire, mais trop de campings car réunis entraine un phénomène de rejet tout à fait compréhensible. Fuyez si dans un endroit non organisé pour (aire de service, parking...) il y a déjà 3 camping car ; ce ne sont pas les lieux qui manquent !
S	Stationner dans les lieux appropriés Stationner oui, mais sans gêner les riverains ; ne pas se mettre devant leur porte d'entrée, ou leur couper la vue. Les mairies généralement interdisent le stationnement des camping car en dehors des aires de service et des campings ; dans les villages peu touristiques, en demandant, on peut souvent stationner près de l'église ou de la salle omnisport. Hors saison, il y a généralement une tolérance plus grande. Stationner ne veut pas dire camper ; je vois régulièrement des camping car qui prennent 3 places de parking avec leur table, leurs chaises....
P	Privilégier le commerce local Se faire accepter en tant qu'étranger et qui plus est voyant, c'est montrer que le marché est gagnant/gagnant ; vous acceptez mon camping car, et je fais des courses chez vous. Le camping cariste est alors vu positivement par les commerçants, donc par les mairies
E	Etre courtois et discret C'est vrai entre camping caristes, c'est vrai entre camping caristes et riverains ; la courtoisie et la discrétion sont des critères d'acceptation. Le comportement général du camping cariste est l'individualisme et cela me désole ; j'aimerais que ce soit l'entraide : un camping car est en panne, je m'arrête pour demander si je peux faire quelque chose. Une fois encore : pas de tables, de chaises et d'étendoirs à linge sur l'espace public, y compris sur les aires de services ou un camping car a droit a 1 place et non 2, voire 3 ! Par ailleurs, la radio elle aussi doit être discrète : vos voisins ne sont pas forcés de partagés vos gouts musicaux -)
C	Communiquer avec autrui C'est tellement facile de s'arrêter et de demander où on peut stationner sans déranger ; de nombreuses communes ont prévu des endroits pour nous, et souvent, plus elles sont petites plus elles font d'efforts. N'hésitez pas à faire visiter votre camping car, ça fait toujours plaisir aux visiteurs.
T	Tenir l'ensemble de ces engagements

J'ajouterai pour les aires de services :

ne pas stationner plus de 2 jours en bord de mer et dans les villes touristiques, car il y a peu de places et beaucoup de demandes
ne pas prendre plus d'une place (sauf si vous êtes tout seul) ; donc ne pas sortir table et chaises sur l'emplacement à côté du vôtre

Enfin RESPECT doit devenir votre religion, c'est à dire que vous respectez ces règles QUEL QUE SOIT LE PAYS VISITE.
